If you hold a Multi Purpose Taxi Program (MPTP) card, you can use it with our fixed-price airport transfer service. The MPTP subsidy applies directly to your quoted fare, giving you 50% off the price you see when you book. No surprises, no extra steps.
We are a licensed commercial passenger vehicle (CPV) operator in Victoria and fully registered to process MPTP concession cards for every trip we run.
What is the MPTP?
The Multi Purpose Taxi Program is a Victorian Government initiative managed by Safe Transport Victoria. It helps eligible Victorians access affordable taxi and commercial passenger vehicle travel by subsidising fares.
The program provides:
- 50% off the total fare per trip
- Maximum subsidy of $60 per trip
- Annual subsidy cap of $2,180 per financial year (resets 1 July)
- Card costs $16.50 and is valid for six years
How the discount works with our fixed fares
When you book with us, you see a fixed price upfront. If you present your MPTP card to the driver, the government pays half your fare (up to $60). You pay the rest.
For example, if your quoted fare is $80:
- MPTP subsidy covers 50% = $40
- You pay = $40
If your quoted fare is $140:
- 50% would be $70, but the cap is $60
- MPTP subsidy covers = $60
- You pay = $80
Example savings from Melbourne Airport
| Destination | Fixed fare | MPTP subsidy (50%, max $60) | You pay |
|---|---|---|---|
| Carlton | $55 | $27.50 | $27.50 |
| Melbourne CBD | $63 | $31.50 | $31.50 |
| Southbank | $72 | $36 | $36 |
| South Yarra | $79 | $39.50 | $39.50 |
| Richmond | $84 | $42 | $42 |
| Geelong (from Avalon) | $45 | $22.50 | $22.50 |
All fares shown are for a standard sedan. Maxi cab fares also qualify for the MPTP discount.
Who is eligible for an MPTP card?

- Gold Card (all conditions)
- Gold Card TPI (Totally and Permanently Incapacitated)

Important things to know
- The MPTP card cannot be combined with other transport concessions or subsidies on the same trip
- Tolls and airport fees are included in our fixed price, so the MPTP discount applies to the full quoted fare
- The $2,180 annual cap covers all your MPTP trips across all providers, not just airport transfers
- Your card is personal and cannot be used by someone else
Frequently asked questions
Can I use my MPTP card for airport transfers?
Yes. We are a licensed CPV operator and accept MPTP cards for all our airport transfer services, including trips to and from Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine) and Avalon Airport. The 50% subsidy applies to your quoted fixed fare.
Does the MPTP discount apply to the full fixed fare?
Yes. Our fixed fares are all-inclusive with no hidden extras. The MPTP subsidy is calculated on the total quoted price. For fares under $120, you pay exactly half. For fares over $120, the subsidy caps at $60 and you pay the remainder.
Can I use MPTP for a maxi cab booking?
Yes. The MPTP subsidy applies to both sedan and maxi cab fares. If you need a larger vehicle for wheelchair access or extra luggage, the same 50% discount (up to $60) applies to the maxi cab fare.
How much can I save per year with the MPTP?
The annual subsidy cap is $2,180 per financial year. If you use airport transfers regularly, this can add up to significant savings. For example, a return trip to Melbourne CBD saves $63 ($31.50 each way), meaning you could make roughly 34 return trips before reaching the annual cap.
Do I need to do anything special when booking online?
Just book as you normally would and add a note that you have an MPTP card. Present the card to your driver at pickup. The driver will process the subsidy electronically and you pay only your discounted share of the fare.
